Jeff Fish knew he was missing something as a strength coach who did not understand fundamental movement. He felt the need to be well versed in the system in order to explain to players this was the missing piece to their overall performance package.
After implementing the system, Jeff recalls how his team started to come up with compelling statistics on injury percentages and average screen scores for high-risk and low-risk individuals. Rob shares that FMS is a species-specific screen and mentions statistics regarding the validity and reliability of the FMS found in recent studies.
Gray says, “All we did was create a way that we could do what our mentors did intuitively. If you are not an expert with many battle wounds and mistakes behind you, it may be helpful to have a map for guidance."
