Single Leg Stance with Core Engagement with Cable System

This core engagement technique enhances quality timing, mobility and stability in single leg stance.

Stand with the feet together in a narrow stance. Raise the arms overhead and grab onto each of the handles. While standing in a tall position begin to pull both handles down towards the hips at the same time. Once this position has been achieved, lift one leg off the ground and make sure to maintain balance. Lower the raised leg back to the ground and then let handles go back up. There will be a slight weight shift so that the standing leg will bear all of the weight. Do the same movement with the other leg and note any differences.
