This virtual course is designed for rehabilitation professionals seeking to elevate their expertise in assessing and treating cervical pain and dysfunction. Grounded in the latest research, this course integrates the regional interdependence model through the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) to refine clinical decision-making and treatment strategies.
The course will explore the evidence-based exam items using the most effective treatment techniques (manual therapy and therapeutic exercise) required to diagnose and effectively treat patients in each of the 4 primary subcategories (Mobility Dysfunction, Direction Specific Exercise, Movement Coordination Impairment, and Headache). Instruction includes in-depth demonstrations of validated examination techniques, advanced manual therapy applications, and targeted therapeutic exercise interventions.
Beyond assessment and treatment, this course emphasizes the clinical integration of SFMA findings, progression to Functional Movement Systems discharge testing, and strategies to optimize musculoskeletal health across the lifespan. This masterclass is designed for experienced clinicians looking to enhance their diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficiency, and patient outcomes.
