Register for Clinical Integration: The Evidence-Based Low Back Pain Solutions Masterclass (LMH)
Oct 11-12, 2024, Hummelstown, PA
This 2-day continuing education course is designed for rehabilitation-oriented healthcare providers who treat patients with lower extremity pain. This course will integrate the current best evidence for patients with low back pain with the regional interdependence model, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). The course will cover the history, clinical application, and treatment progressions to best manage patients with low back pain. A systematic approach which considers regional interdependence and appropriate low back pain subclassification is necessary to guide evidence-based interventions.
The course will include skill development through laboratory instruction for the evidenced-based exam items using the most effective treatment techniques (manual therapy and therapeutic exercise) required to diagnose and effectively treat patients in each of the 4 primary subcategories (direction specific, mobilization, stabilization, and nociplastic pain). Clinical integration of SFMA findings will complement the overall treatment philosophy and inform discharge testing and management of musculoskeletal risk factors.
