SFMA Level 1 - Certification
This SFMA Level 1 seminar includes both the 7 hour online course, as well as a 2-day live event, where the background, philosophy, evidence, and logic of the model will be covered.
The SFMA provides an efficient method for systematically determining the cause of the patient’s pain, not just the source. The SFMA is a repeatable diagnostic metric which begins with 7 full-body movements, known as the "Top Tier," to determine where further assessment is needed. A common logic is applied to all patterns to break down the movement in a systematic way to reach a movement diagnosis of either mobility or stability/motor control dysfunction.
Most of the live portion of the SFMA seminar is spent in practical sessions. Participants are taught the assessment criteria and have ample to practice and opportunities to ask questions to ensure they are comfortable integrating the system immediately into their clinical practice.
SFMA Level 1 Online Included
SFMA Level 1 Online is now provided as a resource prior to attending the event. We strongly recommend viewing the online course prior to your event, but all information will be covered in the live event. Please note: SFMA Level 1 Online becomes available at the time of course registration and the cost ($1,095) is nonrefundable.
SFMA Level 2 - Advanced
Course Prerequisites: Before attending the SFMA Level 2, you must have previously attended the SFMA Level 1 course.
In the SFMA Level 2 seminar, you will spend two full days focused on interventions designed to compliment the SFMA findings. The majority of the course will be dedicated to the demonstration and application of the 4 x 4 exercise matrix and the neurodevelopmental progression it follows. Key motor control oriented exercise progressions are provided for each top tier movement pattern assessed within the SFMA.
You will leave with a clearer understanding of treatment for Stability and/or Motor Control dysfunctions. Additionally, reset and reinforcement ideas will be discussed to allow the participant to gain a greater understanding of the clinical application of the model.
SFMA Level 2 Online Included
SFMA Level 2 Online is now provided as a resource prior to attending the event. It is strongly recommended to view the Introduction to Mobility and Motor Learning sections prior to your event. Viewing the Virtual Course Sections in the Online Course is not required. All content will be covered in the live event. It can be utilized as a resource post-course. Please note: SFMA Level 2 Online becomes available at the time of course registration and the cost ($1,095) is nonrefundable.
