Crocodile Breathing

This exercise helps you learn and practice breathing with your diaphragm.

Getting Ready:

  1. Lie down on your stomach with your face on the floor.
  2. Put your forehead on your hands, with one hand on top of the other.
  3. Make sure your chest, arms, and neck are relaxed and comfortable.

Breathing Steps:

  1. Breathe in slowly through your nose. Feel the air go past your chest and into your belly. Your belly should push against the ground without you trying.
  2. Breathe in through your nose for about 3 seconds.
  3. Hold your breath for a moment.
  4. Breathe out slowly through your nose for 4-6 seconds.
  5. Hold your breath again for 2-3 seconds.
  6. Start the next breath.

Keep doing this, letting the air fill your belly like a balloon. Stay relaxed and comfortable.
